Meet the Arborist Behind Morvin Tree Pruning

My name is Jack Morvin and I am proud to introduce my company, “Morvin Tree Pruning.” I have worked as an arborist all my life, for companies of all sizes. With 16 years of experience starting right out of high school, I have acquired knowledge in all domains of tree care: extremely technical removals, trimming trees away from power lines, liquid services, and beyond. However, one specific domain sparked my interest above all others, and is the inspiration for the premium service I offer now.

The true measure of an arborist isn't just what they cut away, but what they help flourish for the next generation.

“Tree pruning” has a vast range of definitions, understandings, and goals. These include, but are not limited to, failure mitigation of larger trees towering over residences, structure pruning of juvenile trees, shaping of landscape vegetation, as well as health and safety pruning for compromised branches. This array of options should be conducted utilizing a goal oriented approach by certified arborists familiar with tree biology and the skill based operation itself. My company’s core focus will be to deliver these services at the highest quality.

While we still have the ability to do removals, our company’s main focus is the efficient pruning and trimming of trees. All of our trucks are strategically sized and outfitted to deliver the best product and overall customer experience. All of our employees are trained to utilize the strictest interpretations of the Ansi A300 pruning standards with ritual emphasis on safety.

In  my years working in the industry, I have unfortunately seen examples where fear and intimidation are used to convince customers to take down trees. Our systematic tree risk consulting process uses sound metrics to calculate acceptable levels of risk to ensure these magnificent structures remain safe in our urban forest. The rate at which trees are being removed in our area is staggering. Not only is it a threat to our environment, but these unique and living structures are each a one of a kind masterpiece that is sure to increase property values, reduce pollution, lower temperatures and deliver a peaceful feeling when properly cared for.

The Morvin Tree Pruning Difference

It can be a tough call with who to trust with your tree care needs. The science of what to do combined with the difficulty of how to do it can lead to challenges. Talking about it can be easy but if the arborist making recommendations is not familiar with operations it can lead to headaches quickly. I am fortunate to have started at the very bottom, making 9 dollars an hour at a corporate utility arborist company at 18 years old. I gained skills at multiple competencies in my journey through the industry of arboriculture. Groundhand, climber, aerial lift operator, large vehicle/equipment operator, safety supervisor, general foreman, sales representative and office administrator are roles that I was fortunate to not skip to become well rounded. This experience in all aspects of the tree care business helps my company to deliver the best product not just the day the work is completed but from your initial contact all the way to the job’s completion. Using efficient communication, prioritizing your schedule, giving expert advice and executing work orders to perfection will save wasted time, energy and frustration typically associated with incompetent providers.
